Background: Kazuichi on Danganronpa Wikia (very spoiler heavy).

Personality:

On first impressions, Kazuichi usually tries to act cool and smooth, like one would expect from a guy that looks like him. However, these attempts are usually stopped by something unexpected and weird happening out of the blue, revealing what he's really like: a rather timid person. No matter how 'tough' he looks, he's actually very much scared of everything. The word overreaction is not included in his dictionary, or so it would seem as his yells of fear tend to be the loudest of them all. All of it is, however, genuine, as he really is scared of what's going on around him to the point he's stressed out.

In many ways, Kazuichi is super emotional. While he gets easily scared he also gets easily excited or angry. He wears his heart on his sleeve, so to say. It's easy to tell what he's thinking or feeling just from looking at him, which makes him an easy target for manipulation and bullying. He's also very fast to get hurt over words and tends to cry bitter tears of disappointment when he is. If he gets hurt without the other party realizing, he might just exit the situation without much explanation on what happened. Sometimes when he's insulted he has enough courage to insult them or fight back, but he's very quick to run from conflict when things start looking bad for him. There are times when he keeps fighting despite being clearly the one losing (mostly with Gundam Tanaka).

Kazuichi was betrayed by his best friend in middle school, which caused him to have issues trusting anyone to the point where it was just easier to not even try at all. He even changed his looks to get some piece of mind from bullies, but ended up attracting different kind of attention instead. It's clear his trust issues are a huge thing, since he was easily manipulated into distrusting Hajime Hinata, despite liking the guy a lot before. He spat very many accusations towards the guy, which he later apologized for. It still takes him a huge deal to trust someone, but seeing Hajime do what Hajime does has made it easier for him to open up.

Thinking about death is a huge no for him. During his life on the Island, Kazuichi was forced to face death over and over again. He was constantly afraid he would die there and that's what made him stressed and not able to sleep much at nights. At first he tried to run away, but then realized there is no place to run and started acting more with the group (although plans to escape the island remained in his mind). Every classmates' death also resolved him to try and get out of the island with the rest of them alive. He sympathizes with the lost ones and doesn't just shake away their deaths, even if he also doesn't let them stop him either.

Kazuichi is a good friend when given a chance. He's the sort of guy who does his best to cheer up the surrounding mood, to the point where he built a mini robotic version of a deceased friend and gave a speech of motivation. While this seemed to be mostly for impressing Sonia Nevermind, it's clear he also had good intentions for the group as a whole. He's sometimes willing to stay up whole night just to tinker with something that might help the situation they have.

Sonia is an issue on a whole different level. Ever since the day he met this beautiful foreign princess, he's been head over heels for her. This is because of the childhood dream he's had about "dating a blonde girl". The crush is to the point where he's obsessed about her, yelling others not to be rude towards Sonia and agreeing with her about everything (even if he'd initially disagreed). It's highly likely that his crush is more of a celebrity crush, rather than a real one, since sometimes his love for her seems rather shallow (not really caring about her interests enough to check them for example and sometimes creates his own images about her). Sometimes it feels like his one true love is machinery.

Like a normal teenage boy, Kazuichi loves seeing girls in bikini. Though he does seem quite a bit like a pervert sometimes, taking things like "I'm doing IT to you" with a double meaning. In many occasions he's the first to think something pervert is going on (like classmates running away together to have some private time). Once he has been curious enough to go look (and dragging Hinata with him) but only ended up in disappointment.

Abilities: Kazuichi is the "Ultimate Mechanic". He has the ability to fix all kinds of machinery and modify them as well. He can also build things from scratch and he's really passionate about it when he gets around to it.

Alignment: Thras. Kazuichi is well known for panicking over even smallest of things and screaming in many times a day. Especially new and unknown things bring him fear, but sometimes even the most familiar ones scare the hell out of him. Yet sometimes he gets small bursts of bravery at unexpected times.
